Who is Cook Security Group?
Cook Security Group (“CSG”) was founded in May of 2002 by Brian Cook, CEO. Upon formation, CSG operated in the electronic and physical security niche providing these services primarily to financial institutions in Oregon. In 2005, CSG entered the Seattle marketplace opening its first satellite branch to the home office. Since 2005, CSG has successfully opened similar offices in Spokane, Sacramento and Reno, to bring our current total to five. During the first four years of business, many of the banks were utilizing CSG’s construction department to rig and install ATM’s that other vendors were selling. In 2006, with the consolidation and merger of many of these ATM companies CSG received many requests from current customers to provide First and Second line service to their fleet of ATM’s and consolidate the agreements with their other banking equipment. It was at this time that CSG created our ATM service and installation department and started cross training our technicians. We have been successfully growing our ATM business at a rapid rate for the past five years. In fact, we’ve twice been awarded a “Fastest Growing Company” Award by the Portland Business Journal. We are now up to 80 plus employees and cover six total states. In addition we have five regional office locations with resident technicians peppered throughout the six states. Cook Security Group will celebrate our eight year anniversary this May toasting our two most valuable assets, our customers and our employees! On top of that we just received our 3rd “Top 100 Companies” award (#8) by Oregon Business Magazine!
Behind the Slogan: "We Make it Happen"
Our slogan was actually given to us by our customers. It’s no secret that we have built our structure with one goal in mind… Service our customers and make their lives easier. That’s why when we get a call at 4:58pm on a Friday because an alarm won’t set, we come to the rescue! Our customers were repeatedly saying “You guys make it happen!” We heard it so much we took it to heart, hence the “We Make it Happen!”

The Story Behind Cook Security Group's Famous BBQ Sauce!
Many of our customers love our Cook Security Group BBQ Sauce and ask us the “story behind the sauce”. Well, it’s actually one of our customers that makes the sauce for us. We bought a batch to give away at a trade show one year and it was a surprising hit. The following year, we failed to bring sauce, and there was a major uproar! So of course, the following year we returned the sauce and have since customized the label and added Teriyaki as well. It’s become a signature of Cook Security Group and we now give it away at all our trade shows throughout our 6 state footprint.
