CORE vs. Non-CORE: Are you outsourcing your Non-Core services to save money and maximize FTE? Need to make up revenue for the Dodd-Frank Act? If you haven’t heard the term Core vs. Non-core, you will be in the coming months.  More and more companies are getting away from Non-Core and focusing their resources, particularly their employees on strictly “Core” functions.  This is especially true in the financial industry.  Take Security or ATM servicing for instance.  While security and keeping an ATM up and running is extremely important, it’s not a financial institution’s core business.  A financial institution’s core business is to drive banking products and increase customers or members.  Many times, non-core services take an institution’s eye off the bigger picture.  Look for bundling & outsourcing as well as "managed services" solutions to grow in the upcoming year. By outsourcing and bundling services, budget is reduced and FTE (Full Time Equivalent) time is opened up to focus on Core initiatives.  Multiply this by number of branch locations and the savings grows dramatically...Want to learn more about Core vs. Non-Core, outsourcing & bundling? Is your service provider embracing technology to improve quality and save you $$$? With today’s technology and advances in automation, leading service providers are latching on and helping their customers save huge dollars as well as provide much better service.  This can be felt in the way of response times, customized invoicing, and providing access to call status via the web.  If your service provider seems to be in the dark ages, here are a few technological applications the leaders in service are embracing:
  • GPS Routing: Service vehicles are equipped and routed quickly and efficiently!
  • Automated Dispatch System tied to laptops: Enables technicians to acknowledge and complete calls in real time!
  • Customer View access to web: Enables customers to view the open call status from the comfort of their own pc!
  • Customized Electronic Invoicing: Enables customer to receive a customized, consolidated invoice electronically!
  • Remote management of PCs: Enables service provider to remotely fix equipment for more uptime!
These are just a few advances in technology and automation. To learn more, click here.

ATM Update...  Remote View gaining momentum, ADA update and other trends… Remote View ATM monitoring including diagnostics, windows patches, and the ability to push marketing continue to be a red hot addition, especially with the latest ADA Compliance laws.  Most machines being replaced can easily have Remote View installed and the consumer benefits are dramatic.  Increased ATM uptime, easily pushed Windows updates, and the ability to provide targeted marketing campaigns are just a few of the benefits being realized.  Click here to learn more about Remote View.

ADA Compliance Update:  ADA upgrades and replacements are well under way.  With the 2012 March 15th deadline looming, many financial institutions are approving their plans and at a bare minimum replacing a select number of machines to show progress.   New rebates just came out, so if you have not completed your survey, now is a great time.  Click here to learn more about ADA surveys.
