Cook Security Group's front door "lock down" solution foils bank robbers!
As an alternative to costly access control systems Cook Security Group has installed several inexpensive "lock down" systems on front doors of branches in select regions. ANTIOCH — Four men failed in their attempt to rob a bank Monday morning when the bank's employees refused to unlock the door to let them in, Antioch police said. At 9:30 a.m. the four men approached an Umpqua Bank branch in the 3700 block of Lone Tree Way, Sgt. Steve Bias said. The four all wore black hooded sweatshirts and masks over their faces. Cook Community Builders Update! Cook Security Group had another successful year running the 2010 Hood to Coast. Twelve willing participants finished the 197 mile relay race from the top of Mt. Hood to Seaside (the coast), Oregon in approximately 28.5 hours. There was a lot of fun had by all and many of our employees stepped up when needed to Make it Happen. Even Brian Cook, CEO, had to take on an extra leg when one of the runners got hurt resulting in him running four legs totalling over 20 miles. Much of the proceeds for Hood to Coast go to support the American Cancer Society.
